How does E-Z Shred Work?

Step 1

Step 1 - Documentation of Confidentiality & Destruction

The first step in the E-Z Shred process is the "paperwork". i/oTrak certifies the secure and confidential transfer of custody of container contents to be destroyed, in accordance to OEM particle sized specifications at a plant-based destruction facility, in accordance to the National Association for the Information Destruction, Inc. (NAID) Certification Program. Each Certificate is uniquely numbered and outlines the chain of custody and destruction process.

Step 2

Step 2 - Collection Containers

E-Z Shred incorporates the largest and most innovative line of secure shredding carts, deskside containers, executive consoles, cabinets and recycling bins within the Document Destruction Industry. The secured collection program helps to ensure reduction in liabilities associated with the 'lazy toss', using i/oTrak's cost-efficient alternatives to the traditional console, particularly where space is limited.

The Shredinator II is an excellent secured solution for any office environment where a larger container is not feasible or economical. The PDC (Personal Document Container) is perfect for deskside collection and designed to fit beside or under a desk or counter to secure sensitive documents, right at the workstation.

Step 3

Step 3 - Records Collected

It starts from the instant confidential documents and papers are deposited into their E-Z Shred office consoles. Simply place documents to be destroyed into a designated container. Then based on your pick-up service schedule requirements, an i/oTrak service representative will come on-site to collect the records to be destroyed.

Have large volumes of records to be purged? i/oTrak personnel are available to assist, freeing your staff up from the laborious non-productive tasks associated with the document destruction process.

Step 4

Step 4 - Materials Transported

A service representative will transport all the documents to be shredded to i/oTrak's regional facility. There each container will be inventoried, chain of custody documented and finally sent on for destruction. i/oTrak's transportation vehicles are equipped with transport security cages and the receiving facility is monitored using video, audio, motion, and fire sensing detection systems on a 24/7 basis.

Step 5

Step 5 - Materials Destroyed

Partnering with Edco Group Inc. E-Z Shred uses a process that pulverizes each securely sealed container and all of its contents in accordance to the guidelines prescribed within the NAID Certification Program. Once sealed shut, the ISPH container is never again opened.

Step 6

Step 6 - Disposal of Destroyed Materials

Plant-based shredding operations offer one of the most environmentally friendly,or "GREEN" methods for the disposal of destroyed paper through effective recycling. According to The National Recycling Coaliton, each ton (2000 pounds) of recycled paper can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 kilowatts of energy, and 7000 gallons of water. This represents a 64% energy savings, a 58% water savings, and 60 pounds less of air pollution!
