Richard "Rick" Lippert, President of i/oTrak has announced that the Company has allied itself in a strategic partnership with the EDCO Group, Inc., a national document storage, conversion and retrieval company.

i/oTrak services over 200 mammography centers and physician offices both nationally and throughout Florida, with record management services, bringing their practices into an efficient approach to the new world of patient record keeping.
"The major problem faced by most medical practices, including major hospitals is the enormous amount of record keeping mandated under present government guidelines," said Mr. Lippert. "i/oTrak has developed a system of collection, storage, shredding and conversion of these records into a simple, electronic grouping. This allows the physician or health care facility to retrieve information almost instantaneously, allowing the facility to have better control of both space and time within their operation.
"EDCO," continued Mr. Lippert, "has a similar operation to ours by with vastly expanded storage and conversion capability. By allying ourselves strategically with EDCO, we bring them our expertise in customer service and local contact. They bring to us an expanded ability to store, shred and scan records on a faster and broader basis than we do now."
EDCO, of Springfield, Missouri, known as the "Document People", are one of the largest processors of medical records in the world. They store paper medical records as needed in a naturally protected underground storage facility. Paper records are kept at a constant temperature and humidity level, under extremely high security. EDCO has giant scanners that scan paper records, notes and other files at lightning speed. Once the records have been scanned, they can be stored electronically for easy retrieval by clients through a secure internet connection, viewed and re-printed as necessary.
"Our goal is to integrate EDCO's systems into our own and provide cutting edge collection, storing, shredding and retrieval methods for all medical facilities, from the rural on physician office to large, multi-location hospital groups" concluded Lippert.
